    Bledisloe Wharf now called the Bledisloe container terminal was built between 1937 and 1948.
    I believe it was named after Lord Bledisloe, Governor General of New Zealand from 1930 to 1935. Perhaps better known for the rugby trophy he initiated in 1931.
