Sparkling in the sun, the recently renovated wooden arch adorns the all new Aotea Square , in the Auckland CBD.
Called Waharoa, meaning gateway in Maori, it was carved in 1990 by Maori artist Selwyn Muru.

This is cool. I was thinking it’s a Wellington but it’s bit colourful… When I was there last time (Auckland), Aotea centre was not open yet.
It is as it the train is moving towards us! I can hear the roar!
