The always ubiquitous Rangitoto island is an Auckland landmark. Out of the 50 volcanoes that make the Auckland volcanic field, Rangitoto is the youngest. It erupted for the last time a mere 600 years ago. I will dedicate this week to images of Rangitito.

I would SO love to go over there for a visit but for some reason in the 20 years I lived in Akld I never got around to it.
