They are called Dairies in New Zealand, very popular with kids for the ice cream and sweets… Dogs not allowed. This dairy on the corner of Remuera Road and Armadale Road.

  10. Lachezar, your photo is a treat. The work with light is wonderful and the humour with dog attached adds just what it takes to transform an ordinary dairy in a great photo ! I enjoyed catching up with your last photos too, with particular kudos for your city sunrise, boats at Devonport and my heart is a beast III

  12. No town is complete without an ice cream store! Dogs are allowed in our stores. Not by law, of course, but by tradition. Nobody complains. I love that part of living here.

    I really like the post! Specially the doggy, you’ve just not captured the beauty of the dairy but a good nice-to-know that dogs are not allowed on some of them!

  15. Nice! Really nice. I was looking for the Dairy that has big “Tip Top” sign on the top and hopefully complete with the “LOTO” one. Well, I know I have in very close, but I decided to one from near my work place.
    What I really like about this is not only the Dog but the “boy” over there. Fantastic photograph!
