Winter? You are having winter and we are getting into summer. It is cool here this morning in Ohio. Our windows are open to catch the morning air. No signs of winter here yet but they will come this Fall or Autumn.
By the way, I have seen birds frozen to death still holding on to wire something like your picture. They were just upside down with their feet attached. When it warmed up they fell off.
