    I could sit around our Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park in the centre of the city and not see one Sparrow. When I was a kid they were as cheap as chips. Now they have been chased out of the city by Noisy Minors, Common Mynahs and Ibis. We still get Magpies but not as many Butcher Birds or Peewees either.
