A bird’s eye view of Otarawao Bay seen from Cudlip Point. You can also see Scott Point at top right.
Otarawao is the Maori name of this Mahurangi Regional Park Bay. The park was the ancestral domain of Ngati Rongo. Maori and European Settlers are buried in the cemetery at Te Muri. The Bay’s current name comes from Captain John Sullivan who settled here in the 1870s.
