the Gannets are back

This is the circle of life, a wonderful sight and a true sign of spring in New Zealand! After spending the winter in Aussie the Gannets come back to Muriwai Beach.  In the following months, they will find a mate, lay one egg only and then take turn to incubate it. This is just the first wave. Many more will be  coming until there is hardly any space left on the rocks!
