States of Rangitoto
Posted on 20 April 2009

The always ubiquitous Rangitoto island is an Auckland landmark. Out of the 50 volcanoes that make the Auckland volcanic field, Rangitoto is the youngest. It erupted for the last time a mere 600 years ago. I will dedicate this week to images of Rangitito.
In this one as seen through the masts at the Orakei Marina.

I would SO love to go over there for a visit but for some reason in the 20 years I lived in Akld I never got around to it.
A sea of masts! Love the photo and your low angle!
This capture is a real masterpiece!!!
