The Skycity Starlight Symphony

Tens of thousands of people descended upon the Auckland Domain for this fantastic event! In this shot, the Auckland Philarmonia conducted by Marc Taddei is on stage with the Skycity Massed Choir comprising choristers from all over the North Island conducted by John Rosser (in white t-shirts) in front.

Oh wow, so many choristers — must have sounded heavenly!
My favourite event ever! I was there last year when Dame Kiri Te Kanawa sang. She was amazing, and so was the whole orchestra. Now I’m overseas, I was thinking “the startlight symphony should be on soon…” Love your photos, and I check them every single day, missing home :)

This was one fantastic event. Brooke Fraser was the highlight of the evening for me not forgettig to mention the amazing laser and fireworks display. I would recommend this great event to anyone.
