Winter trees

August 17, 2008 | Filed Under Auckland

Yet another rainy weekend in Auckland, I took this one last Sunday when we had a bit of a break from the rain and bad weather. The very special light of what we hope to be last winter days makes these trees stand out against the blue sky and light clouds. Yo can even see the moon as a tiny spec far away in the blue. Captured just after the turn off from State Highway 1 to the Mahurangi Regional Park. Meg’s (Nelson Daily Photo) wonderful post a couple of days ago inspired me to publish this image.

South Shields Daily Photo is 2 years old today. I have always admired Curly’s photography, so pay him a visit and give him a big cheer!

A great reminder to us in the northern hemisphere that winter never quite left us this year!!

Nice row of trees. I guess you are in the grips of winter. I never seem able to get my mind around that but it must be true. We are fast approaching what we call Fall or Autumn here but had several months to go through before we get snow.
