Motukorea Island
Posted on 28 January 2007
Just off the Auckland’s eastern suburbs coastline, Motukorea Island also known as Browns Island provides refuge to some endangered bird species and beautiful views from the city. Here with some boats in choppy seas in the foreground. Captured from the Waiheke Island ferry on the way back to Auckland.

Strong wind!
I like this composition…the balance is perfect!
How dry!!!
Feels like a warning add against deforestation. And for global warming!!!
I’ve never seen any place in Auckland so devoid of trees – and that’s for the birds? Still lots to learn about this country, I tell you…
