    This is Rugby. Whith my limited knowledge of Rugby and the help of the Wikipedia I can say that this is a photo of a “Scrum”. A scrum is a way of restarting the game, either after an accidental infringement or when the ball has gone out of play. A scrum is formed by the forwards binding together in three rows. The scrum then ‘engages’ with the opposition team so that their heads are interlocked with those of the other side’s front row.
    So this is the view from the back …
