A flower tribute for Steve Irwin “The Crocodile Hunter” a great Aussie who died tragically today. May his soul rest in peace and his work live forever. Two of his quotes: “I have no fear of losing my life – if I have to save a koala or a crocodile or a kangaroo or a snake, mate, I will save it.” and “I’m a proud Australian, a very, very proud Australian.”

I didn’t know who was Steve Irwin, but if you say “Crocodile Dundee”, every one in France knows him.
This is such a tragedy. Steve brought wildlife issues and awareness to such a wide audience. This is a great loss for us all.
Thanks for this post. His enthusiasm was so infectious. Hope Terri and the kids are OK.
Awwwwwwwwww, this news (which my 11year old told me last nite after he found me asleep on the couch and then woke me up) is just so sad….my whole family loved Steve…so much fun to watch. This is a nice tribute…and the 3rd pink flower in the last few days…RIP Steve–at least you were doing what you loved to do…My heart goes out to Terri, Bindi & Bob…:-(
I hadn’t realised he made contributions other than to host a crazy animal show until today. But you know, he died doing something he loved, and that, at least, was a good way to go. Just a bit early.
John, NO THANKS.
Steve was a great ‘larger than life’ character, I was shocked when I heard, he has two young kids, how sad for them in particular.
PS. Still think my Aussie magnolias are better than yours!
PPS Thanks for giving us Split Enz, Russell Crowe and… actually you can have Russell back!
don’t know much about this guy but the news of his death is on TV headlines tonight…
